Kansas-based MartinLogan makes speakers with a difference: while the vast majority of speaker designs use cones and domes that are pushed and pulled by an electromagnet to produce sound, many ML models incorporate a wafer-thin, curvilinear electrostatic panel that is charged with electrical current to vibrate the air. These panels are combined with bass cones to deliver low frequencies, creating a hybrid design that is the most advanced of its kind. The result?
